The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are actually open and can close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home by using a combined gross home earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined household profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme check here for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent check here citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study more info in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
